Dr. David Schoenwetter

Dr David J Schoenwetter, DO, FAEMS, FACEP, is the Division Chief for the Division of EMS at Geisinger Health. He serves as the medical director for Geisinger LifeFlight, Geisinger EMS, and multiple EMS agencies at the ALS, BLS and QRS levels, as well as the Luzerne County Community College Dept of EMS. After working as a paramedic, Dr Schoenwetter graduated medical school from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed Emergency Medicine Residency training at Geisinger Medical Center, and then completed an EMS Fellowship with the Fire Department of New York City (FDNY). Dr Schoenwetter is an emergency medicine attending at Geisinger Northeast (GWV and GSWB) and continues to practice actively in the field as a PA-DOH Prehospital Physician.
